Russell Gottwaldt is a comic book artist, animator, information and graphic designer, illustrator, letterer and colorist living in Chicago with his wife Katie. He attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he studied cartoons and animation while editing the popular monthly journal of art and politics, F Newsmagazine from October 2005 – February 2007. In March of 2006 he was awarded the Charles M. Schultz award for college cartooning from the philanthropic arm of the E. W. Scripps media conglomerate (known most widely for hosting the National Spelling Bee). He presently works full time as an information designer and freelances as a graphic designer and illustrator.
